It is now official that three of the next four editions of the Italian Super Cup will be played on Chinese soil.

The trophy is an equivalent of the Community Shield, between the winners of the Scudetto and Coppa Italia.

“After the very successful experience of the InterLazio game in 2009, today's contract allows Serie A to have a consistent space on the international market that had never been the case in the past,” said Lega President Maurizio Beretta.

“After the very successful experience of the Inter-Lazio game in 2009, today's contract allows Serie A to have a consistent space on the international market that had never been the case in the past,” said Lega President Maurizio Beretta.

The deal with United Vansen International means the Italian Super Cup will be played in China from 2011 to 2014.

“We will be in China three times in the next four years, bringing the best of Italian football on a very prestigious stage, proving our teams are capable of attracting the interest of the public and sponsors.”

This is hardly the first time the Italian Super Cup has gone overseas, as other venues have included New York, Libya and the 2009 edition in Beijing's Olympic Bird's Nest stadium.
