Alberto Paloschi has suffered another ankle injury which could keep the Chievo striker sidelined for three months.

The Under-21 international forward, who is co-owned with Milan, has had numerous fitness problems over the years.

He had a consultation after feeling pain in his ankle during training and the diagnosis is a sprained right ankle with lesion of the ligament and capsule.

Surgery will be necessary and, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Paloschi could be out of action for two to three months.

He had been impressive for Chievo over the summer, scoring seven goals in summer friendlies.

This injury could mean the Bentegodi side keeping hold of Davide Moscardelli and Cyril Thereau this season after all.
