Chievo's president Luca Campedelli is in talks with agent Mino Raiola to sign Mario Balotelli, say reports.

On from the probing by Ajax and Galatasaray, as well as minnows Pescara and Crotone in Italy, the Gialloblu represent the latest team to have shown an interest in the Azzurri's fallen angel.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Campedelli's talks are already at an advanced stage, as he reportedly had a dinner with Raiola on Friday evening in order to discuss the transfer.

The president is also believed to have spoken with Balotelli himself, and the player's response was to buy time so that he can consider all options.

Moving to Chievo would allow the 25-year-old to return to a major league like Serie A, and it would also give him the opportunity to reboot his career.

It would also, however, represent a marked step backwards after playing for the likes of Liverpool, Milan, Inter and Manchester City.
