Giorgio Chiellini is the only player to have featured in each of the nine consecutive title-winning Juventus seasons.

The centre-back is out injured at the moment, but his contribution to the record-breaking run is undeniable.

Since the domination of Serie A began in 2011-12, Chiellini is the only man to have registered at least one league appearance in each of those campaigns.

That’s because Andrea Barzagli retired last summer, while Leonardo Bonucci spent a season at Milan and Gianluigi Buffon had a spell with Paris Saint-Germain.

Chiellini recently extended his contract to June 2021 and will turn 36 next month.

He has amassed 510 competitive appearances in a Juventus jersey, scoring 36 goals and providing 22 assists.

There were 89 yellow cards during that time and five red.

Chiellini’s trophy cabinet at Juve also includes four editions of the Coppa Italia, four Italian Super Cups and a Serie B title in 2006-07.
