Jorginho is only a step away from joining Arsenal after the terms of a deal with Chelsea were agreed, reports detail.
The 31-year-old Italian-Brazilian midfielder only has six months left on his contract with the Blues and seemed destined for a departure in the coming months.
Chelsea are looking to bring in World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez and so are willing to let Jorginho leave in the mid-season transfer window.
As highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, Jorginho is now set to sign for Arsenal in a deal worth £12m, with Chelsea giving the green light for a transfer.
The 31-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners, agreeing to an 18-month contract with an option for a further year. His pre-transfer medicals have already been booked and the move will be completed today.
Jorginho joined Chelsea in July 2018 from Napoli. He made 213 appearances across all competitions for the Blues, scoring 29 goals and providing nine assists.
