With his hand over his heart and his finger pointing to the ground, Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku has made it clear that he only wants to play for Inter next season.

The 30-year-old Belgian forward’s return to San Siro started slowly this season but in recent weeks he’s finally started to show the skills that made him a fan favourite during his first spell, scoring seven goals in his last six Serie A appearances.

After scoring the early goal against Atalanta, Lukaku celebrated by putting his hand over his heart before pointing to the ground and shouting, implying that he wants nothing more than to stay with Inter.

As detailed by Corriere dello Sport via TMW, Lukaku will return to Chelsea in the summer after his loan spell expires with Inter, but a new deal could be set up, as it’s clear that the Belgian striker is happiest in the Lombardy capital.

The Nerazzurri cannot afford to re-sign him outright, so a new loan deal will have to be set up. The deal this season cost the Italian side around €20m total between the fee and wages, so the club are looking for a slight discount.
