Napoli have already appointed Carlo Ancelotti on a three-year contract and he is not as determined to keep Hysaj as Sarri was.
The 24-year-old has a release clause in his contract worth €50m, valid only for clubs outside of Italy.
Chelsea cannot sign Sarri until he has terminated his contract with Napoli, as although he was fired, the contract remains intact.
There is a release clause in Sarri’s contract worth €8m, but it expires on May 31 and after that it’s up to the two clubs, or Sarri and Napoli, to negotiate a termination.
