French referee Clement Turpin has been appointed for Inter-Bayern Munich, while Carlos del Cerro Grande will oversee Napoli-Liverpool.

The Nerazzurri and the Partenopei make their 2022-23 Champions League debut at home on Wednesday.

Simone Inzaghi’s men host Bayern Munich, while the Partenopei meet Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at the Stadio Maradona.

Turpin will be the referee for Inter-Bayern, with Nicolas Danos and Cyril Gringore as his assistants. Ruddy Buquet will be the fourth official while Jérôme Brisard will be in charge of VAR.

Inter were eliminated in the Round of 16 last season, losing 2-1 on aggregate against Liverpool.

The Reds return to Italy already to face Napoli. Spanish referee del Cerro Grande has been appointed for the second-ever meeting between Luciano Spalletti and Klopp.

His assistants are Pau Cebrián Devís and Guadalupe Porras Ayuso. Cesar Soto Grado is the fourth official with Alejandro Hernández at VAR.

This is Napoli’s first Champions League campaign in three years.
