Fikayo Tomori returns for Milan against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 at San Siro.

It kicks off at 20.00 GMT.

The Rossoneri must cope without Mike Maignan, Alessandro Florenzi and Ismael Bennacer but Tomori is back and will start in a three-man defence with Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw. The latter is favourite over Simon Kjaer and the same is true of Alexis Saelemaekers on the right flank.

The Belgian winger is expected to start, with Davide Calabria initially on the bench.

Sergino Dest and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have not been included in Milan’s Champions League list for the knock-out phase.

Milan haven’t played a match in the Champions League Round of 16 since 2014 when the Rossoneri coached by Clarence Seedorf were eliminated by Atletico Madrid.

Tottenham are without the injured Hugo Lloris, Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma and Ryan Sessegon while Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is suspended.

Former Serie A stars Cristian Romero, Ivan Perisic and Dejan Kulusevski will start for Spurs.

Milan vs. Tottenham – probable line-ups

  1. Every time I see the D word on a team sheet my heart sinks. Every single time he gets the ball it gets turned over. We have to send him back to Madrid and fix that problem position once and for all.
