Alessio Cerci is struggling to come to terms with Torino’s derby defeat against Juventus. “We should have had a penalty!”

Juventus won the game 2-0 with late strikes, but only after Toro had a spot-kick claim rejected for Leonardo Bonucci’s challenge on Cristian Jonathas.

“It is a scandal that such a penalty was not given,” the Italian international told La Stampa. “How is it possible to miss Bonucci’s foul on Jonathas?

“It was 10 minutes from the end. With that penalty and a subsequent dismissal for Bonucci, we could have perhaps won the derby.”

The Granata now find themselves just four points clear of the relegation zone with four matches left to play.

“We’ve played well in our last four games, but picked up no win from them,” added the man co-owned with Fiorentina.

“We have to react with the strength that we have inside of us.”

Torino, one win in their last nine, will end the campaign with ties against Milan, Genoa, Chievo and Catania.
