Sao Paulo winger Ricardo Centurion is flying in to sign for Genoa again after a chaotic summer in which he had been poached by Boca Juniors.

Brazilian media and Sky Sport Italia pictured his arrival at Malpensa Airport in Milan this evening and he’ll be heading towards Genoa tonight.

The 23-year-old had already worn the Grifone jersey in 2013-14 when on loan from Racing Club.

He was sold to Sao Paulo in January 2015 and loaned to Boca Juniors last season.

The problems emerged when he flew in to Italy for a meeting with Genoa ahead of the €5m transfer, but just as it was all set to go through, Boca Juniors suddenly offered €6m.

He flew back to Argentina, but that transfer collapsed over the last few days after Centurion was caught up in a brawl.

That was only the latest PR disaster for the player, who had also caused a car accident last September and in May was accused of attacking his former girlfriend.

“The truth is it’s disappointing, because he is a great player on the field,” said Boca Juniors President Daniel Angelici.

“We wish him the best. The wisest move now would be for him to go abroad, where he’ll be less exposed on a media level. He has a great career ahead of him, but must behave as a professional both off the field and on it.”
