And with the Rossoblu set to play in Trieste next term, the club's owner has admitted that it is a bitter pill to take.

“Cagliari is my city,” Cagliari News 24. “When Quartu wanted to host the club, I felt honoured.

“And now, I go there and see the stadium coming off piece-by-piece.

“It breaks my heart to see that.

“We gave our blood for the Is Arenas.”
