The Paris Saint-Germain striker represented Palermo and Napoli during a six year spell in Italy’s top flight, and has been linked with Juventus this summer, with reports of a frosty relationship with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Uruguayan forward’s agent has today ruled out such a move, but hints that Milan could be an option if and when new owners come in.

“I can rule out Edinson returning to Italy,” Claudio Anellucci told Radio Olympia.

“There aren’t the [financial] conditions for any club to take part in a bidding process to get him. The markets right now are Spain and England.

“What I can tell you is, pay attention to how the situation develops with the ownership of Milan…”
