Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has admitted that tomorrow's match with Catania will be more important than last weekend's win over Juventus.

The Rossoneri Coach believes that Friday's match in Sicily will be 'fundamental' to their campaign, as they look to kick on after their poor start to the season.

“This game will be much more important than the match against Juventus,” he told a Press conference. “This is a match of fundamental importance to our League position.

“Catania are a point above us, and we want to follow up on our win over Juve.

“We now have four big matches coming up in the League, Champions League and Coppa Italia.”

He also commented on the fitness of some key players ahead of the trip to Stadio Angelo Massamino.

“Christian Abbiati has back problems and will only return when he feels better,” the 45-year-old continued. “Philippe Mexes will play though, alongside Mattia De Sciglio and Kevin Constant – I'm yet to decide who will be the other centre-back.

“Pato is training well and should be fit enough to play.”
