Sevilla President Jose Castro confirms “many offers from Italy” for Ciro Immobile but “we have no plans to let him leave”.

The Italian international has scored just twice since joining the Spanish side this summer, and has been linked with a return to Serie A, with Napoli and Sampdoria named as potential suitors.

“There’s nothing concrete on the sales front,” Castro told EstadioDeportivo.

“We’ve received several offers from Italy for Immobile, but we have no plans for him to leave Sevilla.”

The 25-year-old was Serie A Capocannoniere in the 2013-14 season, scoring 22 times in 33 appearances for Torino.

A high-profile move to Borussia Dortmund followed, but after just three Bundesliga goals, Immobile was loaned to Sevilla for this season.
