Fabrizio Castori assured Carpi will give everything in an “historic” Coppa Italia quarter-final with Milan and call Matteo Mancosu.

The one-off game will be played at San Siro on Wednesday evening.

“It is certainly a special match for us, an historic achievement for the club, for me and the lads,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

“Never before had Carpi played a Coppa Italia quarter-final and what’s more it is being played at San Siro, another first for most of us.

“We are eager to do well on such a prestigious stage. Milan are a great team, certainly more accustomed to this type of game than us, but we will do our best.”

Carpi have called up striker Mancosu, who completed his transfer from Bologna yesterday.

“He is a centre-forward with the right characteristics for us. I am happy with his arrival,” added Castori.

Carpi squad for Milan: Brkic, Belec; Letizia, Zaccardo, Gagliolo, Romagnoli, Suagher, Gabriel Silva, Daprelà; Cofie, Bianco, Di Gaudio, Crimi, Pasciuti, Lollo, Martinho, Marrone; Lasagna, Mancosu
