Parma chief Tommaso Ghirardi expects to complete the transfer of Antonio Cassano from Inter over the next 72 hours.

The Italian talent, almost 31, is set to move to the Tardini as part of the deal which will see Ishak Belfodil head in the other direction.

“There is optimism over Cassano,” the Stadio Tardini President commented. “I think everything can be defined during the weekend.

“Am I worried by Cassano’s character? Absolutely not. Coach Roberto Donadoni and sporting director Pietro Leonardi will look after that aspect.”

Nerazzurri defender Matias Silvestre may also be involved in the exchange, although it is unclear whether he will accept the Gialloblu as a destination.

“We have asked Inter for him,” Ghirardi continued. “If he wants to come here with the intention of proving his worth then we’d be happy, if not then we will do without him.”
