Entella have played one Serie C game this season, but they’re appealing to be readmitted to Serie B and have been barred from playing in the interim.

The situation won’t be resolved until at least the end of this month, during which time the squad must play friendlies to keep their fitness up.

“I don’t like to play the victim, but it’s difficult to work in this situation,” Boscaglia told RMC Sport.

“I’m lucky in that I have a fantastic group of lads on a technical level, but above all on a human level.

“The complicated thing isn’t so much managing the lads, but working without knowing what you’re working toward.

“We train, we’ve been playing some friendlies, but everything else is missing. There’s a lack of respect.

“There’s a lack of respect for the club, the fans, the city, and we who are working. We’re managing the situation very well, but I want to make this dramatic situation clear.

“We want to play in Serie B, the management has been perfect and there’s no anger in the squad. It’s clear that something is wrong though.”

Antonio Cassano has been training with Entella, having been out of football for two years.

“Antonio is physically fine, he came here with incredible desire and he knows he’s made a lot of mistakes in the past.

“He’s grown up, I spoke to him and I told him what should and shouldn’t be done here. Cassano can only be an added value.

“He’s a champion, when he touches the ball you get chills. In a context as peaceful as ours, I’m convinced he can be in acceptable shape in a few weeks.

“He can also give us a lot in the dressing room, because he’s been with the top teams in Europe.

“I saw the lads with wide eyes when they welcomed him, and when he spoke too. But he can also learn something from this experience.”
