Antonio Cassano will put pen to paper on a new contract with Inter, but not until the season has come to an end.

The Gazzetta dello Sport claims that agent Beppe Bozzo has held preliminary discussions with the Beneamata over a renewal.

The two parties, however, are in no rush to get the details finalised seeing as an agreement should not be too difficult to find.

Cassano, signed from Milan in the summer, is set to prolong his present agreement – which expires in June 2014 – by another 12 months.

The 30-year-old has scored eight goals in 23 games for the San Siro giants so far this season.
