Antonio Cassano dedicated his Parma brace to teammate Jonathan Biabiany, but said goodbye to the Italy squad.

FantAntonio was on target with two sensational goals in the 3-2 victory away to Chievo.

“I wanted to underline how well the team fought back in a difficult moment,” Cassano told Sky Sport Italia.

“There were people who were coming from Serie B or didn’t play much recently, but they put in a great performance.

“In the locker room at half-time, despite being 1-0 down, the Coach told us to just play the way we know how. We listened to him and we won.”

Cassano had a thought for Parma teammate Biabiany, whose cardiac arrhythmia was discovered during a recent medical.

“I certainly dedicate the brace to Biabiany, someone I really care about. I hope he can resolve his problems as soon as possible. He is fundamental for us, not just as a player, but as a guy.
“I understand what he’s going through and I’m close him.”

Cassano underwent surgery to correct a heart defect that caused him to have a stroke when he was at Milan.

Despite these spectacular goals, the veteran forward acknowledged the World Cup was his last outing for Italy.

“I think it’s over and it’s only right they begin a new era without me. Besides, you have to run a lot with Conte!”
