Monaco are sweating over the fitness of Ricardo Carvalho ahead of their clash with Juventus, but the defender thinks he’ll be fit.

However, the principality side could be without Ricardo Carvalho with the Portuguese international hurting his knee after scoring in last night’s win over Serbia.

However, the former Chelsea man – who has made 23 appearances for his club across all competitions this season – is confident he’ll be fit for the trip to Turin.

“When I was celebrating, I felt the knee open up a bit,” Carvalho said after the game.

“Then when I tried to cut on to my left foot for a corner, I felt it again a little.

“I think it is the internal lateral ligament. I think I’ll be fine within a week or 10 days.”
