The Albanian international arrived in the Italian capital this evening, with his agent, ahead of finalising his move.

"I'm happy because a new adventure awaits me at Lazio," stated the former PSG, Marseille and Sunderland player.

"It's always nice to join a new club. I played reasonably well last season, but I hope to do even better in the next campaign.

"Lazio are a great club with great fans."

Cana, who will be 28 later this month, will net around €2m a season at the Stadio Olimpico.

It is still unclear how much Lazio have paid Galatasaray for his services or whether goalkeeper Fernando Muslera will go in the other direction as part of the switch.
