Argentina and Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero will play for Juventus next season, claims RAI journalist Carlo Nesti.

The Old Lady have been in talks for the South American since the last campaign came to an end and Nesti believes the deal is basically done.

"As far as I know, Juventus have Aguero," Nesti told TuttoJuve.com. "Obviously, it is an excellent swoop, when you consider the player's technical abilities.

"Left, right, speed and power. He's basically got everything, apart from a few missing centimetres in terms of his height seeing as he is just 1.70m."

Not everyone is convinced that Aguero is the kind of top player that the Old Lady should be looking for, especially with La Gazzetta today claiming that he will cost in the region of €40m.

"Doubts can arrive from the fact that only three forwards, in my opinion, can change a team – Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic," added Nesti.

"Below these three players are a group of outsiders that include Aguero, a group that a few years ago Diego and Amauri were a part of.

"This confirms that football is not an exact science."

Diego and Amauri were both bought by Juventus post-Calciopoli, but they struggled to live up to their billing.
