Juventus’ chief football officer Francesco Calvo is in Lisbon ahead of the Bianconeri’s Europa League quarter-final second leg against Sporting CP and confirmed he has not received any major updates from the impending decision over the -15 point deduction.

Calvo, along with Gianluca Pessotto, attended a customary pre-game lunch with delegates from the hosting team earlier this afternoon, but confirmed he had not yet heard anything from the hearing in Rome.

Upon entering the Solar dos Presuntos restaurant in Lisbon, Calvo told the crowds gathered outside: “We are waiting. Is there faith? I don’t know, it’s just more a matter of waiting now.”

Juventus’ appeal to the Collegio di Garanzia was held on Thursday afternoon, lasting roughly three hours, although a verdict is not expected until later today.

There has been no official confirmation over the expected timing of the verdict. What is known is that it will be delivered via a press release and Tuttomercato believes a decision should be made public before Juve’s Europa League clash with Sporting, which kicks off at 20.00 UK time.
