Hakan Calhanoglu posted a photo from his first training with Inter. ‘Feels good to be here’.

The Turkey international moved on a free transfer across the city from arch-rivals Milan this summer, as he failed to reach an agreement over a new deal with the Rossoneri.

The shock decision to join Inter came after links with clubs abroad, as the Nerazzurri offered Calhanoglu €1m more a season than the Diavolo.

Calhanoglu’s deal runs to June 2024 and is believed to be worth €5m per season plus bonuses.

The 27-year-old, who had joined Milan from Bayer Leverkusen in July 2017, participated in his first Inter training under new coach Simone Inzaghi and posted a picture on Instagram telling the Beneamata fans it ‘feels good to be here’.

Calhanoglu left Milan after having appeared in 172 competitive games with the club, contributing 32 goals and 48 assists, playing an important part in the successful season under Stefano Pioli, as the Rossoneri finished second in Serie A.
