Giacomo Bonaventura and Lucas Paqueta could fight for his place in the side, as Calhanoglu was expected to sit behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a trident with Ante Rebic and Samu Castillejo.

Rafael Leao and Alexis Saelemaekers could also be in contention after the news about Calhanoglu.

The formation might change after the setback, as Stefano Pioli must find a way to cope without his trequartista of late.

It could change to a 4-4-1-1 to make space for Paqueta behind Ibrahimovic up front and differ from the 4-2-3-1 as previously predicted.

Milan (probable): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Castillejo, Kessie, Bennacer, Rebic; Paqueta; Ibrahimovic
