Milan are reportedly launching a campaign to monitor the world’s 23 most promising young players, with Hakan Calhanoglu topping the list.

According to Tuttosport, a summit involving the club’s joint-CEO Adriano Galliani, Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, and the Rossoneri scouts outlined a long-term transfer plan.

The club will reportedly monitor the 23 strongest young players across the globe, with a view to rejuvenating their squad across the board.

Their first target is believed to be Bayer Leverkusen’s offensive midfielder Calhanoglu, currently 21 years old.

The young Turk could be useful to the Rossoneri on the short term, as the likes of Keisuke Honda, Giacomo Bonaventura and Suso have failed to fully convince in the role of trequartista.
