Calhanoglu has been deployed as part of a three-man midfield for Milan since arriving from Bayer Leverkusen over the summer, and CalcioNews24 believes the No 10’s latest remarks to Gazzetta dello Sport were an indirect message to Coach Vincenzo Montella.

“It’s not easy to memorise all the information that I’ve been given,” he told the newspaper after the Rossoneri’s 4-1 defeat to Lazio on Sunday.

“Clearly I have difficulty with the language. I don’t have a translator, but my teammates help me sometimes.

“Where do I prefer to play? Behind a lone striker or as a wide attacker. What did Montella tell us? To stay positive.”
