Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has picked up a calf strain on international duty with Belgium.

The news was confirmed by Belgium manager Marc Wilmots during pre-Euro 2016 training.

“Radja had a test on the calf muscle a few days ago and there was no anomaly found. Now he had another test and it showed a muscular lesion that is 1.4cm wide.

“Fortunately our medical staff was very cautious with him and he will probably resume training from tomorrow.

“Normally for an injury like this you need to be out for two weeks, but Radja tends to heal very quickly.

“We want him back at our disposal for the friendly with Switzerland, but don’t want to do anything rash.”
