Davide Calabria shared his unhappiness at the rumours of disagreements and rifts in the Milan dressing room, defending the squad.

Recently rumours have started to emerge that tensions are high in the Rossoneri dressing room amidst the team’s recent run of poor form. Milan have lost their last five games across all competitions and haven’t picked up a win since their 2-1 victory over Salernitana on January 4.

Writing on his Instagram story, Calabria responded to the rumours with frustration, suggesting that the Milan squad were still united despite the drop in form.

“Winning or losing, like criticism, are part of this world. We accept them and we are the first to be unhappy and to want to change things. What we don’t accept absolutely are the countless falsehoods that have been coming out for a few days, involving my teammates and myself.

“Ours is a fantastic squad, healthy and composed first and foremost of men who love each other, with great moral values, respect and mutual esteem. We’ll continue to remain focused on our work with our heads on the pitch and stop these absurd allegations.”

Pressure has started to mount on coach Stefano Pioli and some fans are already calling for the 57-year-old to be dismissed, less than a year after he guided the club to their first Scudetto in over a decade.

Milan currently sit sixth in the Serie A table, only a point behind fourth place Lazio and five behind second place Inter.
