Torino President Urbano Cairo visited the squad at Filadelfia today and said he can ‘see the impact’ of coach Ivan Juric. ‘A proactive and aggressive attitude’.

The Granata patron revealed he is happy with the first 12 Serie A games under Juric, who arrived ahead of 2021-22, and was positive when he spoke to the club’s official channels after visiting Filadelfia on Friday.

“Almost a third of the championship has been played, it has been a Toro who showed good things,” Cairo told Torino Channel.

“I didn’t like some games, but in all the others we have played well and we have shown our worth, our play, a proactive and aggressive attitude.

“It’s the change between last year and what we are today: it’s a more Garibaldian [revolutionary] Toro, who knows what to do and with many duels, just like Juric wants.

“You can see the impact of the coach, as the players have followed his guidelines.”

Cairo claimed the players who stayed at Torino during the international break have ‘worked well’ and aim to overcome Udinese on Monday.

Torino are currently 12th in Serie A with 14 points in 12 games, two behind Juric’s former club Hellas Verona, who occupy the last place in the top half.

Udinese are tied on points with the Granata ahead of Monday’s match and the two clash in an important game at the Grande Torino.

“We have quality players who thus have been called up by the national teams,” Cairo continued. “The coach has only been able to work with some, but those who stayed have trained well and those who returned have accumulated good experiences and have done good things.

“Now, we have regrouped, we have been training together for a couple of days. We have a specific goal or Monday. Udinese are a demanding team, and we need to prepare well for the match.”
