Urbano Cairo insists Stephan El Shaarawy is not a target for Torino as the President faces calls to step aside.
Toro were reportedly working on a deal to bring in El Shaarawy, whose future at Roma looks bleak, given their influx of new attackers, but Cairo made it clear Coach Walter Mazzarri did not want any more forwards, while playing down a petition for him to leave the club.
“El Shaarawy’s a present that risks not being opened,” he told ANSA.

“We must build a team suitable for our Coach, who told me not to sign any new strikers.
“Petition for me to leave Toro? I haven’t kept much track of it, but I don’t think that’s what most of the fans think.”
