Torino President Urbano Cairo says he doesn’t even cheer for Juventus when they play in Europe.

The Bianconeri are in the semi-finals of the Champions League, and will advance to the final if they avoid defeat against Real Madrid in the Bernabeu on Wednesday.

The Old Lady, as well as Napoli and Fiorentina, have helped Serie A close the coefficient gap to the Premier League, but Cairo still can’t find it in him to cheer for Toro’s bitter rivals.

“I don’t cheer for them, even in Europe,” Cairo admitted, speaking at the Festival della TV.

“The [calciopoli] rulings should be respected, if not, Torino would have eight [Scudetti, the 1927 Scudetto was stripped from the Granata].

“That said, I’d like to congratulate them for this season, no-one would have bet on them having a season like this earlier this year.

“The Juventus hierarchy did well to choose a well-prepared Coach like [Max] Allegri.”
