The former Piacenza Coach and now television pundit has never been a fan of the Special One and his opinion certainly wasn’t changed by Manchester United’s smash and grab 2-1 win in Turin last night.

The former Piacenza Coach and now television pundit has never been a fan of the Special One and his opinion certainly wasn’t changed by Manchester United’s smash and grab 2-1 win in Turin last night.
“I learn nothing on a tactical level from Mourinho. If anything, he learned about tactics in Italy. In my view, he knew very little about the subject before coming to Inter,” Cagni told RMC Sport.
The tactician sparked fury at the final whistle when holding his hand up to his ear towards the Juventus fans, later saying he wouldn’t have done it outside the heat of the moment.
“Mourinho is the absolute best at controlling his image in the media. I think he had prepared that gesture in case the game went the way he wanted it to,” continued Cagni.
“He was ready to give the excuse about the heat of the moment and all that. I wouldn’t have done that gesture, I’d have quietly gone back to the locker room.”
While some compared Mou’s celebration to that of legendary Carlo Mazzone charging up the pitch towards the Atalanta fans when Brescia came back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3, Cagni doesn’t see it.
“Mazzone was passion, heart and soul. Mourinho is carefully studied in everything he does.”
