Cagliari have officially named the Stadio Nereo Rocco in Trieste as their ‘home’ venue, sharing it with Udinese.

As of this season, clubs must have evidence they can use a stadium for all their home fixtures before registering for the Serie A League.

The Sardinians had numerous problems last term with the Is Arenas failing security checks, so some games were played behind closed doors, others at the Stadio Tardini in Parma and in the last few weeks at the Rocco in Trieste.

Cagliari had hoped to use the Stadio Rigamonti in Brescia, but the local council turned down their request earlier this week.

Instead, today the club officially registered with the Stadio Nereo Rocco in Trieste.

Udinese will also be using this venue for their home games while the Stadio Friuli is restructured.
