The stopper underwent an MRI scan on Monday which confirmed a torn external meniscus on his right knee.

Caceres is expected to be out for around 30-40 days if there are no complications during his recovery.

The 26-year-old is in his second spell in Turin after the Old Lady re-signed him from Sevilla in January 2012.

Caceres, who can play in the back-three or as the right wing-back, was used in just 22 games by boss Antonio Conte last season.
