New Genoa midfielder Cabral has revealed that he wants to impress at the Marassi and play for Switzerland in the World Cup.

The 25-year-old joined the Grifone yesterday on a six-month loan from Sunderland. And the player has insisted that he wants go to Brazil in the summer with his performances.

“I’m here to break up the play and steal balls,” he told a Press conference. “I want to reach the World Cup with Switzerland with my performances.

“When I arrived in England I played once, then suffered an injury and the Coach changed.

“Now I’m back and ready to play. I like to dictate the play and keep it simple.”

Cabral then commented on Genoa’s game against Roma on Sunday.

“Roma? They’re a great team, we all know that. But I’ve had positive experiences against them in the past – and hopefully this weekend will be another one.”
