Gigi Buffon confessed the two games he’d love to play all over again, but won’t be rushed into choosing his future role.

Today is the Juventus and Italy goalkeeper’s 40th birthday, you can read our extensive tribute to the living legend.

He was asked if there was a match he would like to play all over again, one with the most regrets.

“Yes, I’d like to replay the Juve-Real Madrid Champions League Final from last year and the Euro 2012 Final Italy-Spain, because those are the only games where we lost without putting on to the field the qualities and characteristics of Juve and Italy,” Buffon told Che Tempo Che Fa.

Juventus were beaten 4-1 in that Champions League Final on June 3, 2017. The result in the Euro 2012 Final in Kiev was even harsher, as Spain emerged 4-0 winners.

He already said that no decision has yet been made on if this is the last season as a player, so what has SuperGigi considered for his future?

“I see myself in football, because at the end of the day, it has always been my life. I don’t think I can know right now if it’ll be as a Coach or a director or what, because I’ll need a five or six month sabbatical when I stop and use that to clear my head.”
