Gianluigi Buffon ‘certainly misses Juventus but not Mauro Icardi’ and ‘would say the same things again’ about referee Michael Oliver.
Icardi has scored eight goals in his 12 previous meetings with Juve, while Buffon slammed Oliver in April after the Englishman had sent him off for lashing out and given Real Madrid a last-minute penalty, which knocked the Bianconeri out of the Champions League.

“I certainly miss Juventus but not Icardi,” the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper told Tiki Taka.
“In fact, I hope I don’t see him again because he’s always scored against me. I won’t say Juve are my whole life, but for sure they’re an important part of my life.
“I was there for 20 years and I think I gave every drop of sweat for their cause. Juve-PSG in the Champions League? I’d like to face them but not in the Final.
“It would be a low blow and I don’t know if I could handle it that well. Still, I’d be fine facing them in any other round.
“I did that interview about Michael Oliver because I was out of God’s grace. There was a need for TV to talk about it almost immediately.
“A few days later they asked me if I’d repeat what I said. I knew I’d went too far just two hours later, but I felt the need to say what I said at that exact moment.
“I’m not saying I was right. I set the wrong example, but I couldn’t say anything other than that.
“If it happened again tomorrow, I’d say the same things and then I’d apologise to the referee.
“It has nothing to do with the fact that I was thinking about winning the Champions League or playing my last game.
“For me, it was a footballing story that I could tell my grandchildren, about how we overturned a 0-3 scoreline in Madrid, which no-one had done before.
“A referee with a bit more experience wouldn’t have made the same call. I’m 100 percent sure about that.”
