Gianluigi Buffon’s three match ban is not expected to cause any issues with his move to Paris Saint-Germain.

It was officially confirmed yesterday that the goalkeeper has been hit with a ban for his comments about Michael Oliver, following Juventus’ Champions League exit to Real Madrid.

The 40-year-old had been expected to hang up his gloves at the end of the season, but it appears that when he leaves the Bianconeri he’ll join PSG.

This morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport assures the ban has created no issue in that regard, and while there are a few details to be worked out, Buffon will sign for the French champions.

The legendary goalkeeper will earn around €4m per season, and will compete with Alphonse Areola for the number 1 slot.
