Buffon, however, is in no rush to put pen to paper on a new deal as that is currently not at the top of his list of priorities.
“No, we’re not talking about a renewal right now,” he stated. “The most important thing at the minute is concentrating fully on what is happening on the pitch.
“The rest can sort itself out after without any kinds of problems whatsoever.”
Buffon was speaking to the media after his Old Lady side failed to tighten their grip at the top of the table as they drew 0-0 at home with Siena.
“It was a really important game, also given the dangers encountered by our direct pursuers in the table,” he added.
“Even though we didn’t win, we still managed to gain a point on Udinese and Inter. It’s a small consolation, but still a consolation.”
Juventus struggled to break down a defensive Siena, but they thought they should have had a penalty in the second half.
“We didn’t draw because of the referee, but it is clear that you sometimes win games where you are not playing at your usual high level thanks to an incident,” the 34-year-old continued.
Juventus, after Milan’s 0-0 draw with Napoli, remain at the top of the table even if they still have a game in hand.
“It’s too soon to be calling us favourites,” he continued. “There is just one point separating us and Milan and that is nothing at this stage of the season.”
