Marcelo Brozovic admits Inter need to ‘work harder, more intensity, more pace’ after his last-gasp winner against Torino.

The Croatia international flicked in at the back post from a Nicolò Barella ball over the top at the 89th minute to seal the 1-0 win.

“This is a really important victory, because it’s a tough match, Torino are one-on-one all over the field, it was difficult and we needed this,” Brozovic told DAZN.

“We work harder, more intensity, more pace, because in some games we were unable to do what we wanted. We need to keep going and win.”

There was tension in the Nerazzurri camp this week after defeats to Lazio, Milan and Bayern Munich, so the directors had a summit with coach Simone Inzaghi and the squad.

“We talked and that is all, nothing more.”

The ultras in the Curva Nord were cheering for Inzaghi during the game this evening, a sign of support for the embattled tactician.

“It’s a victory for all of us who support Inter and we hope for more.”
