Ruben Botta has been officially introduced as an Inter player, and the young forward has insisted he won’t let anyone down.

The 24-yar-old signed from Tigre last year, but was immediately sent on loan to Livorno after he was unable to get Italian citizenship.

The attacker suffered ligament damage to his knee at the Amaranto, but joined the Nerazurri properly in January, and was today unveiled with his No.20 shirt.

“I am proud to wear the Nerazzurri shirt, I'll do my best to honour it. Everyone can have a rough patch, we'll work on our mistakes and come through it,” he told a Press conference.

“[I can play] up front, on the left or on the right, it doesn't matter to me – I'll play wherever the Coach wants to put me.

“I went through a really tough time when I got injured. I feared my dream move to Inter would go up in smoke but Piero Ausilio and the club as a whole were really helpful and said they would wait for me. I'm very grateful for that.

“I'd also like to thank Livorno for taking me on loan in the first part of the season and the coach, who's shown that he believes in me.”
