Marco Borriello could return to Milan at the end of the season after a disappointing second half of the campaign at Roma.

The Italian international joined the Giallorossi on loan in August with the understanding that the capital giants would then sign him outright for €10m.

Although Roma are still willing to do that, Milan may not enforce the agreement in order to get Borriello back at San Siro.

The Rossoneri are looking for a new centre-forward and have been associated with Porto sensation Hulk.

However, he would be a much more expensive option than simply recalling Borriello back to the Meazza.

Borriello this week said he'd be happy to stay in Rome even if Vincenzo Montella, who has relegated the striker to the bench, remains as Coach.
