Liverpool target Fabio Borini expects to remain with Roma after the capital club bought him outright from Parma.

The player was co-owned with the Tardini outfit, but the Giallorossi won a blind auction for his full ownership last Saturday.

“As far as I am concerned, Borini is off the market,” agent Marco De Marchi told the Gazzetta Giallorossa.

“Roma gave an important signal by signing his whole contract and he is therefore now a Roma player – which was always what he wanted.

“Liverpool? I know nothing about that. What I do know is that Roma now own him outright.”

Borini moved to Parma last summer on a free transfer after his contract at Chelsea was not renewed by the English club.

The 21-year-old then moved to Roma on loan and the Giallorossi bought a 50 per cent share in him during the January transfer window.

Liverpool’s interest is as a result of the appointment of Brendan Rodgers at Anfield. Borini worked under Rodgers at Swansea during a brief loan spell where he scored six goals in 12 League games.

Borini is currently on international duty with Italy at Euro 2012, but he has yet to appear for the Azzurri in the tournament.
