“A strong rapport has been created between the players and Mancini,” the Juventus defender said at the Festival dello Sport.

“Nobody ever turns up late, there’s never a word out of place. It’s not just a selection of players, but a real team. Once we put the Azzurri jersey on, we all feel joy and enthusiasm, we feel united, like a family.”

Bonucci goes way back with Mancini, as this was the Coach who gave him his Serie A debut at Inter.

“I will forever be grateful to Mancini thanks to that debut for Inter in 2006. My first game for Italy was also a unique sensation. I remember Fabio Cannavaro gave me a pat on the shoulder and after that, I felt calmer.”
