Leonardo Bonucci briefly clashed with coach Massimiliano Allegri during Juventus’ Coppa Italia semi-final with Inter, shouting at the Italian tactician.

The Nerazzurri did not struggle to cruise to the Coppa Italia final after a simple second leg at San Siro, a match in which the Old Lady were deserved losers, looking unimaginative and lost on the pitch.

It was another painful moment in a difficult season for Juventus, further raising the tension in Turin amidst their various off-pitch issues.

Corriere dello Sport highlights how this tension was visible during Juventus’ loss to Inter, when Bonucci clashed with Allegri during the 68th minute of the match.

The Italian coach noted that the 35-year-old defender was not walking fluidly, so he immediately decided to make a substitution. This was noticed by Bonucci, who shouted at Allegri to try and get him to change his mind. His efforts were in vain, and he was replaced by Danilo.

Bonucci attempted to explain the incident when speaking to the media after the match, stating that he “wasn’t arguing, it was only because I was starting to have cramps and in order not to waste substitutions, I said to take this into consideration.”
