According to Sky Sport Italia, Coach Marco Giampaolo will risk it all at Marassi by starting Jack Bonaventura in midfield.

It remains to be seen if he will be chosen ahead of Lucas Paqueta or Lucas Biglia.

Bonaventura is versatile and could even play as a trequartista behind the strikers, Krzysztof Piatek and Rafael Leao, which would mean benching Suso.

The 30-year-old made his comeback for 25 minutes in the 2-1 defeat to Torino on September 26.

He had been out of action since October 2018 with serious knee ligament damage.

Bonaventura has not started a competitive match since the 2-1 home defeat to Real Betis in the Europa League on October 25, 2018.

His last Serie A start was the Milan Derby, losing 1-0 to Inter on October 21, 2018.
