Whilst the youngster has today backed up an assertion made to the Spanish media last week that he remains in the dark, he has now also hinted at his contentment to stay in Italy.

“My future? We will have to talk a little bit, but I can say that I am very happy in Rome and not dependent on the new Coach,” he told assembled reporters on Monday.

“This is a beautiful place, I like it a lot.”

It has been a difficult season for Bojan, who has struggled for a first team place under Luis Enrique and then in finding the net. However, after scoring at the weekend during Enrique’s last match at the club, the striker is still in good spirits.

“For my own season I can be very satisfied, it’s been a great experience, because I came from a totally different kind of football and for an attacker, the Italian League is the most difficult.

“If we want to win, something is missing, but I think that we are working, we are a good team so we must improve.

“Ours has been an uneven season, we’ve lacked the focus on the small details.”
