Bojan Krkic believes Milan can get the better of Juventus this evening. “Our self-confidence has improved, so beating the Bianconeri would be a huge boost.”

The Spaniard is one of the candidates to start in attack tonight, challenging with Robinho, Giampaolo Pazzini, Stephan El Shaarawy and Kevin-Prince Boateng.

“We fought back to draw with Napoli and qualified for the next phase of the Champions League, so our self-confidence has improved,” Bojan told the Corriere dello Sport.

“This is a great opportunity for us. It’s true that every game is a chance to climb the table, but beating the Bianconeri would be a huge boost. Juve are strong as a team unit and as individuals, but we have champions too.

“We are in front of our fans and above all we are Milan. We’ve got to work hard, but know that we can win this. We have to focus on maintaining possession. It all depends on us.”

The Rossoneri have been stuttering this season and remain in 12th place, a good 17 points behind Juve. Click here for a match preview.

“It isn’t easy to go through a situation like this,” continued Bojan. “When you lack certainty, every single setback knocks down your confidence. We need belief and you can tell immediately when a team believes in what it’s doing.

“I am fairly satisfied with my season so far. I could score more goals, but I have always thought a striker should be judged on more than just how many goals he gets. For example, I am asked to move off the ball and help the other strikers to run into space.

“I am not really a centre-forward fox in the box who can challenge physically with Leonardo Bonucci.”
